Project Monochrome is created in order to arouse the importance of texture in a photo. With all the distraction from the color are gone, the only thing that photographers should focus on is the depth of the photo. We are now in the age of digital photography, taking photos in raw format give us the flexibility in post-production process that we ever had.
It is time for us, as a photographer, to explore the possibilities beyond the traditional boundary. Forget the equipments, explore the aesthetic side, find the balance in a different perspective.
The quality of a picture is always determined by how you see the world. The idea of the logo comes from the structure of an eyeball.
The foundation of the structure is constructed by simple lines to simulate the pupil, retina and the shape of eyeball. By using different thicknesses between the inner and otter circle with different greyscale, a monochrome logo is born.
The number of color is determined by the number of component from the logo.
To align with the vision of the brand, Proxima Nova was chose, it is a complete reworking of Proxima Sans. It got the soul of innovation, good readability and the family is big enough for letting me build a visual hierarchy of type structure by using only one font.
